Mera Peak (6,461m/21,190ft) is one of the famous trekking peaks in Nepal that offers an incredible climbing experience. The trek starts with a walk through the trekking trail before reaching the base camp. From the base camp, the climb continues to the high camp and finally to the summit. Upon reaching the summit, you will be rewarded with a stunning view of Mount Everest, Mount Cho Yu, Makalu, Nuptse, Kanchenjunga, Lhotse, and many other peaks in the Khumbu region.

The Mera Peak trek is more challenging than other treks as it includes climbing the peak to the summit. However, prior experience of scaling up mountains is not required to undertake this journey as it is not difficult to climb and very little technical knowledge will be enough. Our experienced guides will orient you before climbing the peak.

Apart from exploring the peak and the base camp area, the trek also involves experiencing the great beauty of mountainous peaks in the Khumbu region, including Mount Everest, Mount Lhotse, and many others. Additionally, the trek will take you through the villages before heading for the summit. You will be walking through Sherpa villages where you will receive warm hospitality from the Sherpas, often known as mighty climbers.

During the trek, local hot beverages are served at tea houses along the way with traditional Nepali cuisine. They are sure to fill your taste buds with some unique flavors. Although the community life is not so prosperous, the service they provide is homely and welcoming. Ancient monasteries are seen decorated with prayer wheels and prayer flags, which exhibit the religious inclination of Sherpa people towards Buddhist culture.

You do not need to be an experienced climber to undertake the Mera Peak climb, but good physical health is necessary. The trek will give you the most exciting memory of trekking as well as peak climbing experience in Nepal. Furthermore, the trek will take you to explore the Makalu Barun National Park area, where you might spot some rare animals if you're lucky.
